All About Mrs. Spray

Hello Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.  I am the proud mother of four wonderful sons, that range in age from 21 to 15 years old. My two oldest sons are currently attending college, my oldest Evan, received his Associates degree last December and is now working towards his Bachelors in Psychology.  Ryan is entering his second year of college working toward his goal of becoming an English teacher.   My youngest sons are both in High School this year.  One in 12th grade and the other in 10th.  I can honestly say I just do not know where the time has gone.  The were just babies the other day.  I blinked and they became men, all taller then me.  For some reason they find this very funny.  This November it will be 2 years since I married my best friend.  We had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

Teaching preschool is my passion, and has been for the past 25 years.  I began as an afternoon assistant teacher at a local preschool, and eventually, became the center director.  I missed being in the classroom, and after going back to school to earn my early childhood certification, I became one of the first VPK teachers in Florida.  After the loss of my father in 2005, I had the opportunity to visit Utah, and, in 2011, I made Utah my home.  Prior to coming to Dry Creek, I taught at Timpanogos High School in Orem, in the preschool lab. It was very rewarding working with my preschoolers and, at the same time, mentoring high school students in the field that I love so very much.

There are so many things I love about teaching preschool; seeing children smile when they learn something new, listening to their laughter when they work together in centers, and watching their love for the little things in life, just to name a few.

I am so excited to start our 3rd year here at Dry Creek Elementary; and especially getting to know both you, and your child.
